Have you finished it yet?
I can't believe it's the last book already. JK Rowling, pls write another 5 or 10. I don't care.
Sadly the ending leaves virtually no room for a sequel.
WARNING, SPOILERS BELOW. READ AT OWN PERIL.
Snape was on Harry's side from the beginning! It's hard to believe that underneath all that greasy hair, he's actually so devoted to Lily. All along I thought that the reason he (seemed to) hated HP so much was bcos of his resemblance to James. Juliet says Snape's voice(which is actually Alan Rickman's from the movies) is way sexy. Ew. When he died, I nearly cried. Hell of a redemptive arc for him.
Also pissed at Tonks & Lupin's death. THEY JUST HAD A KID. Poor thing. Growing up just like Harry.
Gotta admit half the book was ruined for me coz he's not at Hogwarts. Trampling round the forest of Dean is not exciting, Godric's Hollow was a major letdown. The only good parts(other then the Battle of Hogwarts)was the ones he was at Grimmauld Place and MOM(Ministry of Magic, duh). Go Kreacher! Although I have to admit he's better off away from places overrun by Death Eaters.
I couldn't wait for him to return to Hogwarts, loved the parts with Peeves, Trelawney, Neville and Fred. Still sad that Fred died, but at least he went out with a smile, literally.
Malfoy screaming in HP's ear was hilarious. It had me in stitches. Glad they had sort of a truce towards the end.
Hated the epilouge. I would like to know more about the 19 years in between, not just HP sending his kids off to school. I want to know what happened to the rest of the characters.
Oh yeah, and Harry survives.
End
Am very PISSED at Today for publishing the review of HPatDH by the NY Times 1 day BEFORE the book was launched. At first I thought it was a review of past books then I realised some of the article sort of don't fit. Ruined my enjoyment of the book.
