It was so cool watching those professional bartenders, well, bartending.
Throwing all those bottles in the air and all that.
The guests at my tables are so nice too.
I got away with serving only 8 people the whole night.
The people at Michael's table are weirdos. One middle aged woman propositioned him(!) while another guy struck up a conversation with me that I can only describe as extremely uncomfortable. He kept asking me what brand of perfume I was using.
For the record, I didnt put on any that day.

was the Marine Parade GRC appreciation dinner and SM Goh was there to host it at GWP.
Obviously it was a VVIP event lar. Bomb screenings were actually conducted complete with police dogs and armed personnel. Some of them were not too bad looking, some I recognised from last NDP.

The most stressful thing was I had to serve him together with XH. 2 VIP servers for a single table. We had to get a sticker identifying us as THE people who are allowed to go near him. Plus go through a metal detector before we were allowed to step inside the ballroom. Funny thing was, we spent the whole afternoon doing setup in there and it makes no sense whatsoever for us to get out just to go through a scanning device to get inside again.If we really wanted to do anything harmful, we would have hid the stuff inside the ballroom already.
I'm just saying the whole process was superficial.
The whole dinner was supposed to last for only 2 hrs at the most. For me, it seemed like forever. OMG, it's the longest bloody night of my night.
Don't get me wrong, he's actually pretty easy to serve. It's just that he's the senior minister and ex-prime minister of Singapore.
The whole time, I was thinking :" Please dont f**k this one up."
XH and me keep trying to get each other to serve him. It looked rather funny to the others cause they have not yet seen both of us afraid to serve any guest before. On hindsight, I guess it was pretty funny.
Anyway, the conversation at the table was soccer, of all things. According to SM Goh, Argentina was robbed by Germany on during normal and extra time.
Okay..if you say so, sir.
Function ended pretty early, on the account of SM Goh leaving around 10.
Went to 85 for bachor mee with Xiaodi afterwards. He's so sweet to accompany me even though it's already midnight and there's the possibility of him missing his last bus.
Too bad he's already very devoted to the lovely SY.
