Went back to GWP to work on Friday cause I'm so helpful. Heh. Actually its because Jess needs people desperately, again. Would have clocked OT at my regular workplace otherwise, but after battling with the bloody slow system all day I just have no mood to input anything else le. So off to GWP I went.
I was VIP again. Not so good for me but at least I wasn't serving the bridal table. The function started at 9. 9! Have to rush the dishes a bit but managed to finish it by 11. So proud of Ah Fong and myself for doing it.
Met a cute chef during the function. Never seen him in the banquet kitchen before. But he seems to know what he's doing. The dishes are always on time. He's tall, fit and very friendly. Did I mention that he's cute?
Went back yesterday also. Was late on the account of staying too long at my AM's place trying to solve her Itunes problem. She's so nice, buying me lunch and drinks. Her youngest daughter is sooo cute! Kind of like a younger version of my youngest cousin. Only more of a crybaby. She cried like, 5 times during the 2 hours I was there. ~Sweats~
Anyway, took a cab to GWP. Would have made it on time but there was a huge jam on the CTE. Fell asleep on the cab, woke up and I was still on the same stretch of road. Thought I was going to have a heart attack cause of the running meter but the final fare was only about a dollar more than ususal. ~Shrugs~ Weird.
Have to set up a whole function by myself. Luckily, its only 9 tables. Managed to finish on time but Ace won't let me go to dinner. He kept telling me to do stuff that I could have done later, like set up my own VIP side station. Look, if I'm not worried about it, why should he? It's just preparing my serving gear and plates for later.
Saw the very cute chef again. Saw Nick and York too. I'm a very happy girl yesterday.
Had a very relaxed time yesterday doing VIP. The guests ate fast, the dishes were staggered. Even had time to talk to the barman and flirt with the cute chef.
Either my memory is failing me or there are too many new people coming in. I have all these newbies coming up to me these couple of days asking me stuff. It's like almost every new staff knows my name and I'll be like: Huh?/Do I know you?/Have I taught you before?/Did we do a function together once?
Or something like that.
Unless I have been partnered with a newbie(the chances of that happening nowadays are close to nil), there's no way I'll remember all their names. Unless they do something sensational, like quarrel with someone, hang around with my clique or piss me off royally. Heh.
In the past, only Xiaodi and Xiaohui will call me da jie. Don't really mind them calling me that cause I really do treat them like my siblings. Then York heard and now he's calling me that too. Screw him. He's always doing little things like that to piss me off. Because according to him, I look very entertaining when I'm pissed. -_-"
And now, Nick calls me that too. Hello, I'm like 3 months younger than he is. I should be calling him da ge instead, which I did.
He said that I was very obedient. Hmpf.
I want to punch him for that line alone.
I also suspect Xuan likes him.
What's wrong with the world?
And I still have not started shopping for CNY.
