Its so disappointing.. Been hoping so much to increasing my fucking GPA and what do I get? Only my SCM is close to what I hope for. A C+ and a D is not going to get me into bloddy NTU. Not even a single disatinction. Only a bunch of bloody Cs! What with people who fucking cheat like Big-breasted and Hitachi applying. What I can hope for is that my better looking results in Yr 1 can help me get through. I don't even have any CCAs to back me up. My life's a fucked up mess.
This post is a long awaited one...Oops
Anyway, only found time to do my spring cleaning on the eve of the eve of the CNY. My room is so messy that I only finished for the day around 2 am after starting at 7 pm. Then I continued the next day but taking much shorter this time, thank goodness.
Had the traditional reunion dinner in Toa Payoh by this seafood resturant masquerading as a hawker center only a slightly more high class. Spent the night staying up to around 4 am because of an old CNY tradition. The long night was well spent watching Legolas and Co. fighting the forces of Mordor. Also read somewhere that people born in the Year of the Pig should get a red packet containing $68 to ensure good luck for the NY. So I had my mom give me that amount. I wonder, why must the amount be 68 only, why not 168? ;)
The 1 st day of the NY was always spent visiting my granma but since she passed away, we went to my aunt's house instead where I spent the time gambling as usual. The part about receiving $68 did not come true though, I lost a undeterminable amount. Boo. The only consolation was that I wasn't made a bankrupt. Not a comforting thought.
Second day was spent visiting relatives from my father's side where I proceeded to thrash my cousins in Daidee. Yay!
Ok lar, rest of the NY not worth mentioning cause it's boring as always. Only the smell and touch of newly minted money turns me on. Sadly, I'm still not getting any.

Its been a while since I blogged. My excuse? The stress of collecting red packets and scrambling around trying to complete my projects. Just got my marks back and they aren't pretty.
Will make up with a proper entry later, I'm just so darn tired.

Exams ended on Tuesday but no time for R and R yet cause the deadline for FYP submission looms so close now. It seem like I still got quite a lot of time to complete my part when it was still January but well, I’ve got to do it if I want to graduate in April. Speaking of which, I applied for NTU via their website. I’m supposed to fill in this heinously long application form, there was one part where they asked me the specific number of As, Bs and whatnot I have gotten over the past 5 semesters. Like I’m supposed to remember? I have taken 30 freaking modules and it’s taken me a lot of guesswork by staring very closely at them on the SAS website and trying to decide whether I liked them when taking those modules. I have discovered when doing so that I have an astonishing number of Bs, half in fact. Does this mean that I’m actually more intelligent than in studies than I give myself credit for? Cause it sure didn’t look easy while I was taking them. Tough times.
May have flunked my S and P paper cause I didn’t understand most of the questions and when I did understand them, I have no idea how to do them. That’s just great isn’t it?
To sum up my day, I had two bloody project meetings back to back on the last day of my exams. Here’s how they went:
Joshua: Neo, got project meeting today
Me: But I have another project meeting later.
Joshua: What project?
Me: SEM
Joshua: Can do it later? FYP meeting very short one.
Me (points at AQ): Ask my leader, she’s going to attend the FYP meeting also right?
Joshua (turns to AQ): We have FYP meeting later, very short one.
AQ: I also have SEM meeting very short also. Can do mine first?
Joshua (getting agitated): Which one more important? Your SEM or our FYP?
AQ (mumbles): Ok lar, FYP first. Make it quick.
Joshua (ignores AQ, looks at me): After you finish the paper we meet at Mac.
Much later…
Me (walks to Joshua): Hey, where’s everybody? Thought you want to have meeting?
Joshua (shrugs): Never mind. You finished typing the whole thing?
Me (getting pissed): No, got exams what. How to find time to type?
Joshua: Ok, then you finish typing by Saturday or Sunday can?
Me: Ok, no prob. What else you want to talk with the group about?
Joshua: Never mind. You can go le, your part say finish.
Me (thinking: walau, like that also want to call meeting): Ok, happy holidays.
Joshua (mumbles):…
Me (walks to AQ): So how you want to do this thing?
AQ: Don’t know. There are 6 annexes.
Me: Ok, how you want to divide the work?
AQ: No idea.
Me (about to lose it): Got 6 right? just ballot amongst ourselves.
AQ: Ok.
Then came the usual dividing of work, setting the date for the next meeting..
AQ: Ok guys; remember to send your part to me via email. That’s all. You can go.
Me: Hey, wait. You haven’t given them your email address right? How you expect them to send to you?
AQ: Oh right, hey! Come back!
You see the kind of project leaders I have to put up with?
Anyway, that was like a week ago, I already finished the hard part, trying to put the report into 7500 words. Only managed about 7200 but since some parts were left blank, guess it’s sufficient.
Also, had a fabulous time shopping for clothes for CNY, although some of the clothes are out of my range especially those from Topshop. Sigh~
Now I’m going to prepare myself for tonight’s reunion dinner. Happy New Year people! May lots of red packets come your way this year!
